Happy May, friends!! Wow… can you believe it’s already May?! Where did March and April go? Even though we’ve been stuck at home in quarantine, the time flew by for me. I’m really looking forward to May and am hoping things start getting back to normal (or the new normal) soon!
Since it’s May 1st, you know what that means…. Celiac Awareness Month! Each year on May 1st I like to reflect on my celiac journey and see how far I’ve come. Next week, May 5th to be exact, will mark 8 years since my diagnosis! What?! I know… 8 years!
I feel like I’ve come SUCH a long way, and I’m actually really proud of myself. After 8 years, I can confidently say my celiac is 100% under control- physically/mentally/emotionally. I wish so bad I could go back to first diagnosed Kristina and tell her there is light at the end of the tunnel… since I struggled so hard.
If you or someone you know is newly diagnosed with celiac and is struggling, I’m here to tell you YES it’s hard and YES your life will change forever… but with that being said, it’s completely doable and your quality of life will improve tremendously!
