Italian Sausage with Peppers and Onions


This is a favorite in my house. Super quick to make, yet it tastes delicious. You could modify this recipe by cooking the sausage on the barbecue and just the onions and peppers in a pan. For me personally, when I come home from work late it’s easier to throw everything in one pan. It’s up to you! 🙂

(Serves 2-4)


4 Italian Sausage (I use Applegate, they’re gf)
1 bell pepper, sliced
½ onion, sliced
Olive oil
½ tsp oregano
¼ cup white wine


Drizzle olive oil in pan. Add bell peppers, onions, and oregano and sauté over medium heat until onions are half cooked.

Add sausage and wine. Cover and reduce temperature to low and simmer. Stir occasionally. Cook for 10-15 or until sausage is cooked through.

Serve alone or over gluten free pasta.
