Today I’m bringing out the Greek in me! Tzatziki is something you typically see on a gyro but, I love it as a dip as well! Tzatziki is also great on fish, falafels, burgers… the list can go on and on.
Most people either order Tzatziki out at a restaurant or buy it premade at the store. People don’t realize how simple it is to make! Once you make it, I promise it will be one of your favorites! Plus Greek yogurt is really good for you! 🙂 You can replace your mayo (or other cream sauces) with tzatziki.
Ingredients:
(Makes about 3 cups)
2 cups plain Greek Yogurt (you don’t want fat free)
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
1 large cucumber, finely diced
1-2 Tbsp fresh dill, chopped (not dried)
1-2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp olive oil
¼ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp salt
Instructions:
Stir in all ingredients until well combined. Adjust seasonings as need (to your liking).
Serve or store in a covered container in the refrigerator up to two days.
Enjoy!
