Frozen Chocolate Almond Butter Banana Bites

These frozen chocolate almond butter banana bites are the perfect sweet, yet healthy treat to cool you off all summer!
Servings 30 bites


  • 3 bananas
  • cup almond butter
  • cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ tsp coconut oi


  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Peel and slice bananas into ¼ inch thick rounds
  3. Spread almond butter on one slice of banana and top it with another banana, creating a little sandwich and place on parchment paper
  4. Continue doing this until banana slices are used
  5. Place baking sheet with banana bites in freezer to harden for about one hour
  6. Once banana bites are frozen, place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring each time, until melted
  7. Remove frozen banana bites from freezer and dip each piece in melted chocolate so half of the bite is coated
  8. Place baking pan with chocolate covered bites back into the freezer for about 30 minutes or until chocolate hardens
  9. Remove from the freezer and enjoy or place bites into a freezer safe tupperware. They will last 1-2 months in the freezer.

Recipe Notes

You can use peanut butter or any nut butter in place of almond butter.
