This ground beef and broccoli is a flavorful, healthy, and easy-to-make meal that you can quickly throw together on busy weeknights!
Ingredients
Olive oil
1.5lbsground beef
½yellow oniondiced
1head of broccolicut into bite-size florets
3garlic clovesminced
¾cupcoconut aminos*gluten free soy sauce will work too
1Tbsphoney
1TbspSriracha sauce
¼tspred chili flakes
1tspground ginger
Salt and pepperto taste
Cooked cauliflower ricerice or noodles, to serve with
Green onionsto garnish
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat drizzle olive and let it get hot for a minute or two.
Add the ground beef and onions and cook until the meat is no longer pink, breaking apart as cooking.
While the beef is cooking, place 1-2" of water in the bottom of a pot with a lid and heat over high heat until boiling. Add broccoli and place lid on top. Steam until fork tender (don’t overcook). Strain the broccoli of excess water and set aside.
In a small bowl, add garlic, coconut aminos, honey, Sriracha, chili flakes, and ginger and stir until evenly combined.
Add cooked broccoli and sauce to the pan with the beef. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for 10-15 mins.
