Weekend Recap!

Well hello there Monday! You always seem to sneak up on me! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready to take on the week! It was rainy and gloomy here in Southern Ca, and we didn’t have any big plans so it was a great weekend to catch up on things.

Here’s a look back at what I did:

On Friday we Fro-yo! ๐Ÿ™‚

We watched “The Intern” and snuggled under a blanket while it rained outside. (I know we should have had hot chocolate or something warm instead!) If you haven’t seen that movie, you should! It was such a sweet movie and really made me think about my generation!

Saturday morning I met my friend Heather and her sweet daughter for breakfast. I love my Poppy girl! The restaurant has a chalkboard for kids and she was so proud to show us her drawings! They live in Arizona, so I love spending time with them when they’re in town.

Later in the day I went to lunch with my parents, aunt and cousin. My cousin is here from Florida so it was great to see her! I forgot to take a pic…I think I was bitter that I couldn’t eat at the restaurant, and it used to be my favorite! Ha (They were not gluten free safe)

Erik worked all day and came home exhausted, so we just laid low and caught up on our shows while I did some laundry. I’m seeing a pattern with my workout clothes! Maybe it’s time for some color!?

Sunday morning I enjoyed some quality “Pinning” time!

Erik, my dad and brother spent the day in LA at a car show, so I spent the day with my mom.

We surprised my Yia Yia with a visit and she was so excited! When we came in the house she was in the middle of getting a manicure! I get my love of painted nails from her!

She wanted everyone’s sizes so she can make us slippers (even though we all have like 10 pairs!)

I’m really excited about something! I had my mom help translate a list of questions to her that I’ve been wanting to ask her. She shared stories about her childhood, immigrating to America and the health struggles she’s faced. She also gave me marriage and life advice. This is something I’ve always talked about doing, but am so glad I made it happen!

It literally rained off and on all weekend, then when we were at my Yia Yia’s I looked outside and it was beautiful!

Then we hit the mall. My favorite shopping partner! ๐Ÿ™‚

Once we all got back to my parents house, my mom surprised Erik and I with this shadow box of our wedding crowns. Inside the box is my Yia Yia’s hankerchif I had at my wedding, our invitation, a pic from the day, his boutonniรจre, a flower from my bouquet, crystals from the church candles and our Greek wedding crowns. So special for us!

This weekend was nothing exciting, but we had a lot of quality time with family. We decided weekends like this are our favorite!

Hope you all had a great weekend and have a wonderful Monday!

Today I’m linking with Biana!

Yes that’s the intern. The Internship is with Vince Vohn. I think I was getting them confused bc The Intern was so heartfelt, I loved it!

I’m really glad I did that! And yes you totally need to see it, it’s not what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be a comedy, but it was much more heartfelt!
