DIY Christmas Sugar Scrub

cxmassugarscrubDo you have that one person that you can never figure out what to buy them because they have everything? I do too… multiple people! Homemade gifts are the best, especially for people like this. I know I love when someone makes me a gift. It shows that they put thought and love into it! 🙂

I’m all about DIY beauty products. No joke, my grandma used to make a version of this when I was a kid, except she would use sugar and olive oil (remember we are Greek!). I love rubbing the scrub on my hands before bed and then I rinse it off and my hands are left baby soft.

This is so simple to make and you will want to keep some for yourself. If you need a last minute Christmas gift, give this a try!

Ingredients:

¼ cup coconut oil
2 cups sugar
Red food coloring
Green food coloring
Peppermint Essential Oil

Instructions:

Pour sugar into a bowl. Mix in coconut oil (add more if you like more of a wet consistency). Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil.

Divide mixture evenly into two bowls. Add a couple drops of red food coloring to one bowl, and green food coloring to the other. Mix well so color distributes evenly.

Add the sugar to your jars in layers, alternating colors. You can pack it in with the back of a spoon.

Add a bow and there you have it!
